Create and manage ad units
Ad units are your named placements — one per slot on your site. Each unit gets a code that travels in the embed, so impressions, clicks, and earnings are tracked per unit.
What an ad unit islink
An ad unit represents one placement on your site — for example "Sidebar 300x250" or "Article footer". You create and name units in the dashboard on the Ad Units page (publishers.kariant.app/ad-units). Each unit is issued a unit code, which the embed carries via its data-unit value, tying every impression, click, and earning back to that specific placement.
Create a unitlink
- 1Open publishers.kariant.app/ad-units in your publisher dashboard.
- 2Create a new unit and give it a descriptive name (name units after where they live — it makes analytics readable).
- 3Copy the unit's code into your embed for that slot (the Integration page generates the full snippet for you).
Per-unit analyticslink
Because every embed carries its unit code, the analytics pages break performance down per unit — impressions, clicks, and earnings for each placement — so you can see which slots perform and which need work. The Klick AI tools use this same per-unit data for their analysis.
Frequently asked questions
How many ad units can I create?expand_more
Create one unit per distinct placement on your site. Separate units per slot is what makes per-placement analytics meaningful.
Can I rename a unit later?expand_more
Unit names are for your own organization — manage them from the Ad Units page. The unit code in your embed is what ties tracking to the placement.
