Language and translation
Kariant separates two things: the language of the interface (buttons, menus, page copy) and the language the AI answers in. You can set them together or independently.
Choosing your languagelink
The language picker sits in the top utility bar, in the same panel as country, state, and city. Pick a language there and the choice is remembered three ways: in the page address as ?hl=, in your browser, and — if you are signed in — on your account, so it follows you to any device.
If you have never chosen one, Kariant reads your browser’s language on first visit and starts there.
- check_circleThe interface language controls menus, buttons, labels, and page copy.
- check_circleThe AI response language controls what language Klick AI and the agents reply in. Set it under Advanced in the KlickChat AI settings.
- check_circleIf you only set the interface language, the AI follows it. Set the AI language explicitly and it takes priority — useful if you prefer to read the interface in your own language but want technical answers in English.
How interface translation workslink
Kariant ships pre-translated dictionaries for 39 languages. Anything not covered by a dictionary is translated on demand and then remembered permanently in a shared translation memory, so a phrase is only ever translated once for the whole platform — not once per user, and not once per visit.
Once a page has been seen in your language, the translations are stored in your browser. Returning to that page uses the stored copy with no network request at all, so switching language does not slow the site down.
Text always appears immediately in English and is replaced by the translation as it arrives, so nothing blocks the page from loading. If a translation cannot be produced, Kariant leaves the original English in place rather than showing a guess.
What is translated todaylink
Translation is being rolled out surface by surface. Today it covers the global navigation and utility bar, the mobile navigation, the site footer, and the homepage hero, plus every surface that already used the built-in dictionaries.
- check_circleTranslated: navigation menus, footer, mobile navigation, the homepage hero, and the Skollar surfaces.
- check_circleTranslated on demand: any covered surface with wording the dictionaries do not yet include.
- check_circleNot yet translated: the remaining product pages, which still display in English while the rollout continues.
- check_circleNever translated: product names such as Kariant, Klick, Koins, Kurator, and Skollar, and listing content published by partners in their own words.
Right-to-left languageslink
Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, Pashto, Dari, and Divehi switch the whole page to right-to-left layout automatically when you select them, and switch back when you choose a left-to-right language.
AI answers in your languagelink
AI answers are not translated after the fact. Klick AI and the agents are instructed to compose their reply in your language from the start, which keeps the tone, structure, and reasoning intact instead of running a finished English answer through a translator.
This also means there is no extra charge for a non-English answer: the reply is produced by the same request that would have run anyway, so an answer in Hindi costs the same as the identical answer in English.
What it costslink
Interface translation is free to you. Kariant absorbs it as a platform cost and it never appears on your Koins statement.
AI answers bill exactly as they always have — by model and length — with no language surcharge.
Frequently asked questions
Why is part of a page still in English?expand_more
Translation is rolling out surface by surface, and product names are deliberately never translated. If a whole page is English, that surface has not been enabled yet. If a page is mostly translated with a few English phrases, those phrases are being translated in the background and will appear translated the next time you load the page.
Does switching language slow the site down?expand_more
No. Text renders immediately in English and is swapped as translations arrive, and translations are stored in your browser afterwards, so revisiting a page in your language needs no network request.
Does answering in my language cost extra Koins?expand_more
No. The AI is told to write in your language as part of the request that was already being made, so there is no second call and no language surcharge.
Can I read the interface in one language and get AI answers in another?expand_more
Yes. Set the interface language in the top utility bar and the AI response language under Advanced in the KlickChat AI settings. The AI setting wins when both are set.
How many languages are supported?expand_more
The language picker offers 113 languages. 39 ship with full pre-translated dictionaries; the rest are translated on demand and remembered afterwards.
