The marketplace lifecycle
Two connected loops power the marketplace: the RFP loop for scoped projects and the booking loop for time-based engagements. Both are fully server-backed with email notifications at every step.
The RFP looplink
- check_circleClients draft and publish an RFP (title, scope, deliverables, budget, timeline) — AI assist can draft it from a project description.
- check_circlePublishing notifies active providers in the category; providers submit proposals (summary, price, timeline).
- check_circleEach proposal lands in the client’s inbox with an email; the client accepts or declines — accepting notifies the provider and credits their earn rail.
- check_circleAI proposal scoring compares all proposals on an RFP side by side.
The booking looplink
- check_circleProviders publish weekly availability from the partner portal; the booking page derives real open slots from it.
- check_circleClients request a slot (sign-in required to confirm); the provider confirms; past-dated confirmed bookings auto-complete on a nightly server sweep.
- check_circleCompleted bookings unlock reviews and credit the client’s earn rail.
- check_circlePayments are intentionally off-platform for now (feature-flagged) — booking is request/confirm only and the UI says so.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a provider profile to post an RFP or book?expand_more
No — any signed-in Kariant account can post RFPs and book. Provider profiles are only for offering services.
Why can I not pay through the platform?expand_more
On-platform payments are feature-flagged off during launch; agree on payment terms directly with the provider.
