How the marketplace works
Supply Chain runs on four primitives: product listings, buyer RFQs, seller quotes, and open trade leads. One Kariant account covers both sides.
The primitiveslink
- check_circleProducts — sellers publish industrial products with category, city, price, MOQ and discounts; buyers browse via Search, Categories, Cities, Brands and Deals.
- check_circleRFQs — buyers post a requirement (spec, quantity, target price); active sellers are notified and respond with quotes. Quotes land in the buyer’s RFQ inbox with an email notification.
- check_circleTrade leads — public buy/sell leads anyone signed-in can post; browsable by everyone.
- check_circleTyped intake — logistics quotes, trade finance, invoice financing, payment protection, insurance, tenders, auctions and contractor requests are captured as typed leads and acknowledged by email.
Buyer lane vs seller lanelink
- check_circleBuyer surfaces (RFQ, watchlist, bulk order, Koins) need only a signed-in Kariant account — no partner profile.
- check_circleSeller surfaces (/partner/*) need a Supply Chain partner profile: self-register from Partner Settings; profiles start as pending and go live once approved.
- check_circleSign-in is the central Kariant SSO — one session across every *.kariant.app property.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a partner profile to post an RFQ?expand_more
No. Any signed-in Kariant account can post RFQs, save watchlists, and request logistics or finance support. Partner profiles are only for selling.
Why does my seller profile say pending?expand_more
New seller profiles are reviewed before going live in the directory. You are notified by email when your profile is activated.
