The 24-hour messaging window
Meta's messaging platforms only allow businesses to message a person within a window after that person's last inbound message — Konvert enforces this for you so your accounts stay safe.
How the window workslink
- check_circleWhen someone messages you (or triggers a comment-to-DM), a ~24-hour window opens in which you can message them freely on that channel.
- check_circleOutside the window, ordinary sends are blocked by the platform — Konvert checks eligibility per recipient at send time and skips ineligible contacts instead of failing your whole broadcast.
- check_circleAutomation replies to fresh engagement are inherently inside the window, which is why keyword automations rarely hit it.
WhatsApp template bypasslink
WhatsApp allows messaging outside the window ONLY with a pre-approved template message. When a WhatsApp broadcast uses an approved template, Konvert sends it regardless of the window; free-form WhatsApp messages remain window-bound.
Channels without a windowlink
Telegram, web chat, SMS and email have no Meta-style window. Email is governed by consent and unsubscribe instead; SMS follows your provider's and country's rules.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my broadcast skip contacts who ARE subscribed?expand_more
Subscription is not the test on Meta channels — recent inbound engagement is. A contact who last messaged you a week ago is outside the window even if they are a warm lead.
