Completing your profile (industries + territories + investment range, plus a saved brand or the quiz) is what sharpens the ranking — the engine can only rank against what you have told it.
Your saved preferences do double duty: they also power the For You strip on the homepage and, together with your Kontext profile (/klick/kontext/profile), give AI tools real context about what you’re looking for — so you set them once instead of re-typing them per tool.
The Brand Genome view (Discover → Genome) offers a different lens: brands positioned across strategic dimensions so you can find look-alikes for a brand you admire. Signed in, the genome marketplace also scores each listing against your saved profile — real per-listing match percentages computed from your preferences, not decorative numbers.
