Claim and verify your company domain
Verifying a company domain (hq.kariant.app/organization/domains) lets teammates with that email domain auto-join your organization, and is a precondition for enterprise SSO.
Claim the domainlink
- 1Open hq.kariant.app/organization/domains and select the organization (if you have more than one).
- 2Enter your domain (for example acme.com) and click Claim. Public email providers cannot be claimed.
- 3The page shows a DNS TXT record — its type, host, and value.
Verify ownershiplink
If verification fails, the record most likely has not propagated yet — check it with your DNS provider and retry. Real errors (rather than empty states) are surfaced on the page banner.
- 1Add the TXT record at your DNS provider exactly as shown.
- 2Wait for DNS propagation (often minutes, sometimes longer depending on your provider).
- 3Click Verify. On success the domain shows as Verified in your list.
Statuses, retries, and staying verifiedlink
Each domain in your list carries a status — Pending, Verified, or Revoked. Re-clicking Claim or Verify on an already-verified domain is safe: it reports success without resetting anything, so a double-click or a retry never severs auto-join or SSO.
Keep the TXT record in place after verifying. Ownership is re-checked periodically, and a domain whose record disappears is eventually marked Revoked — auto-join and SSO stop for it until you restore the record and verify again.
Frequently asked questions
Why claim a domain?expand_more
Two reasons: new users signing up with a verified-domain email can auto-join your organization, and a verified domain is required before enterprise SSO can be configured.
Can I claim gmail.com or another public provider?expand_more
No. Only domains your organization controls can be claimed; public email providers are rejected.
Can I delete the TXT record once the domain is verified?expand_more
No — leave it in place. Verification is re-checked periodically, and removing the record eventually revokes the domain until you re-add the record and verify again.
