Reversals & clawbacks
Cashback follows the money: when a vendor refunds or cancels the underlying purchase, the earning reverses. What that means for your balance depends on where the Koins were in the pipeline.
The three caseslink
- check_circleReversed before confirmation — the pending conversion is rejected; nothing was ever credited, nothing changes in your wallet.
- check_circleReversed during holdback — the held conversion is cancelled; the held Koins are simply never credited, and nothing is deducted from your balance.
- check_circleReversed after payout — the credited Koins are deducted from your wallet (never below zero). The deduction appears in your ledger, and you are notified with the reason.
Only provable payouts are clawed backlink
Kashback only deducts Koins it can prove were credited for that specific conversion. If a reversal arrives for a conversion that never actually paid out, nothing is deducted — the conversion is just marked reversed.
Frequently asked questions
Can a clawback make my balance negative?expand_more
No — deductions floor at zero. The reversal record and notification always state the amount involved.
I believe a reversal was wrong — what now?expand_more
Raise a dispute from the History page with the order details. Reversals originate from the vendor's network, and disputes are checked against those records.
