Navigation, toolbar & notifications

The slim bar above the header carries your context controls: region, state/city, and language selectors (which also drive currency display — Koin figures render as Sikka in India), a Compare chip showing your live comparison count, a Saved chip linking to /saved, theme toggle, and a “More from Kariant” menu linking the wider platform. Messages and notifications live in the main header below.

Your region selection can narrow a loaded discovery preview by a listing’s reported operating country. It is not a full-catalog search or proof of available territory rights in your selected state or city. Some country-specific tools, such as US SBA readiness, show an availability note elsewhere. Four sanctioned markets — Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria — are not selectable; the Restricted Countries notice in the legal pages explains the policy.

It also carries the franchisor cross-links — For Franchisors sign-in and sign-up — so brand owners landing on the seeker surface can reach their own console in one tap.

The main header carries five menus, left to right: Dashboard (your signed-in overview), For You (your personalized feed), Kontinue (pipeline, discovery days, saved list, Koins, and the AI advisor), Discover, and Finance — with a search bar in the center that takes a brand name or a plain description. Every entry is a live page; Discover and Finance also carry their own left-rail navigation inside.

Signed in, the right side of the header shows your wallet live — a Koins chip (shown as Sikka in India) and a Kash chip, both opening your KashFlow ledger — then the Messages icon with your unread count, the notifications bell, and your account menu. Signed out, the same slot offers Sign In and Sign Up.

After you sign in, the bell shows your latest alerts in real time — new-lead confirmations, stage changes, quotes, appointment and document-request updates, Discovery Day changes, franchisor replies to your reviews, and message notices. The full feed lives at /notifications (linked from the bell; on mobile the menu sheet carries a notifications row that goes straight there). Loading, no-alert and connection-failure states are distinct, and a failed subscription offers Retry. Notification links are restricted to safe Franchise destinations. If marking an alert read fails, it stays unread and the interface asks you to try again; browsers cannot create alerts, choose their recipients, edit their content, or delete them.
