How search and suggestions work
Search understands plain descriptions, not just exact brand names.
Searchinglink
You can type an exact brand name and get it, or describe what you are looking for — a budget, a working style, a kind of business — and get brands that fit the description. Both work at once: an exact match is never pushed down the page by a looser interpretation of your words.
If you sort by anything other than relevance, your chosen sort wins and the description-matching only decides which brands qualify.
Similar brandslink
The "similar" brands on a listing are chosen by how closely their model resembles the one you are looking at — operating style, staffing, premises and investment level — not simply by sharing an industry label. That is why a large sit-down restaurant will not be offered as similar to a small kiosk even though both are food businesses.
What we rememberlink
When you are signed in, the brands you view, save, compare and enquire about help tailor what you are shown next. You can see and change what is held about you from your profile. Signed-out browsing records nothing of this kind.
