Manage your software estate
Workspace (at /workspace) is where you manage the tools your business already relies on — subscriptions, spend, teams, and health — not just where you discover new ones.
What Workspace trackslink
Workspace gives you five views over your estate, plus the teams and functions that use each tool:
- check_circleSubscriptions — every tool you track, with plan, seats, billing cycle, and status.
- check_circleAnalysis — an AI-assisted read of your whole stack.
- check_circleTCO — cost of ownership across your subscriptions.
- check_circleLifecycle — advice on when to renew, upgrade, or replace each tool.
- check_circleROI — how much value each subscription returns for what it costs.
Add a subscriptionlink
You can track both tools listed on Kariant and tools that are not.
- 1For a tool listed on Kariant: open its detail page and use Add to Workspace, then pick the plan you are on.
- 2For anything else: in Workspace, choose to add an external subscription and enter its name, category, plan, amount, billing cycle, and seats.
- 3Assign the subscription to a team or function so allocation and per-team costs stay accurate.
- 4Edit a subscription any time to update plan, seats, or renewal details.
Analyze and optimizelink
Run the stack analysis to get a health report with redundancy insights — overlapping tools you could consolidate — and lifecycle advice on what to renew, upgrade, or replace. The ROI view helps you defend or cut spend with numbers rather than instinct.
AI-assisted analyses route through Kariant’s secure AI gateway and are metered like other AI usage on the platform.
Workspace and your organizationlink
Workspace is scoped to your active organization context, so switching context switches the estate you see. You can create teams, define functions within them, and allocate subscriptions across both — which is what powers per-team cost and usage views.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track tools that are not listed on Kariant?expand_more
Yes. Add them as external subscriptions with name, category, plan, amount, billing cycle, and seats — they appear alongside your Kariant-listed tools in every view.
Can vendors see my stack?expand_more
No. Your Workspace is private to your account and organization. Personalization may use your context to improve recommendations, but your private stack is never exposed to vendors.
Is Workspace free to use?expand_more
Workspace is part of your Kariant account. AI-assisted analyses (stack analysis, lifecycle advice) are metered as AI usage in Koins, consistent with the rest of the platform.
